To my love!

Dear Ice Cream,

Your creamy, chocolate chip, cold, flavorful, goodness makes me fall head over heels for you. Without you in my life, my heart and sweet tooth cries for out for you. On a hot summer day you are always there for me to comfort me. You are there for me when I go to Graters, Dairy Queen, UDF, and any ice cream place! When you have a chocolate chip cookie dough taste, or a black rasberry chip taste you are always delicious no matter what flavor you are. I will always be there for you if you will always be there for me. Forever and for always we will be together!

Your everlasting love,
Katelyn Gulat

Thoughts on Macbeth

I am starting to like the story of Macbeth. However, the language he uses is very hard to understand. Mr. Lunn does a great job explaining what had just happened in the story, but it is very irritating that we have to read something that we don't understand. Macbeth is not really all that gruesome but I believe it will get worse since there is a murder in every act of the play. I don't really have any questions over Macbeth yet but if i do I will post them.

He was viewed as a saint and a martyr by the Catholic Church and the Anglican Communion. Becket was assassinated in December 29, 1170 by followers of the king in Canterbury Cathedral.

My Writing Struggles

Writing assignments were never one of my strong points. However, I have approved a lot since freshman year. Freshman year mainly introduced writing assignments because we never did that many in middle school. I struggle with introduction and conclusion paragraphs. I find it hard to introduce your topic in more than one sentence. Then trying to wrap everything up in a conclusion paragraph without sounding repetitive is difficult. I also struggle and become frustrated with length expectations of the paper. I hate how we have to make it a certain length because I make my paper factual and to the point. If I try to make it more lengthy it tends to sound too wordy and repetitive. Either way I get a bad grade for it being too short or to repetitive. Don't get me wrong I love writing down my thoughts and feelings but when people critize my work I just don't have the will power to do it any more. If your critized on something all the time why would anybody want to do it? This is why I struggle with writing assignments.

My Hero

My hero would be my grandpa, Soloman Abas. He is an extraordinary person. He grew up in Amsterdam and witnessed the Holocaust, many of his family members died during that time. Once he was in his twenties he moved to America to pursue a career as a medical doctor specializing in radiology. He is my hero in that way because going to America and getting a job in the medical field is a lot of work and i respect him for that. It must have been really hard for him, especially knowing no English when he came here to America. One day I would like to follow in his foot steps and become a medical doctor myself, but possibly in emergency medicine.
